What is CrossFit?

CrossFit begins with the belief and desire to be generally fit.  By generally fit, that means forging a broad, general and inclusive skill and fitness base.  The goal of CrossFit is to focus training on being fit enough to perform in unknown conditions, excelling with a transferable, functional skill set in any physical output. After looking at all sport and physical tasks collectively, we asked what physical skills and adaptations would most universally lend themselves to performance advantage.  That is why CrossFit developed training curriculum and philosophies that focus on speed, strength, function and dynamic movements and gymnastics skills. Here’s how to get started with CrossFit ReVa.

Start your journey at CrossFit ReVa

CrossFit ReVa welcomes members of any fitness level and we have set-up our programming to ensure that the daily workouts are achievable, multi-level and challenging for all of our participants.

New athletes will generally “get started” in our CrossFit Foundations program and then as skills and strength are acquired, they will move through CrossFit One Plus, CrossFit RX and CrossFit RX Plus.  Check out our Classes page for our more information about the structure of each class.

Attend a free Class

Our Sweaty Saturday class at 9:00am is open to all new members free of charge. It’s a great way to see what a crossfit Reva workout feels like! Please email before coming.

Get Started with the Reva Foundations Program

This program is for all new members to learn the fundamental movements of crossfit, and help make an easy transition to the regular classes. You will be shown the proper technique and introduced to the following movements:

  • Squats
  • Deadlifts
  • Presses
  • Gymnastics

All new members must complete the Reva Foundations program, unless you have previously trained crossfit and are efficient in all the movements. We do encourage the class setting, but if the timing does not work for you, personal training sessions are also available.

This program includes three Reva Foundations classes one on one with a trainer or  semi-private sessions consisting of two foundation members.  Upon completion of the Foundations program, you will receive the remaining month’s classes.
